Sen.Sc. Mag.arch. MArch (Harvard) Andrei Gheorghe

Andrei is currently teaching at the Institute of Architecture at the University of Applied Arts – Die Angewandte in Vienna. He studied as a Fulbright Student at GSD Harvard University, where he graduated with distinction.
His research focus lies in Digital Design and Fabrication for which he was awarded the Harvard Digital Design Award in 2009. He worked as an architect for internationally renowned offices such as Jakob + MacFarlane, dEcoi Paris and Foreign Office Architects (FOA) London.

Univ.Ass. Mag.arch. Bence Pap

Bence studied architecture at the TU Vienna, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the University of Applied Arts in Vienna receiving his professional degree 2007 from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna / Studio Greg Lynn with distinction.
He was employed with Zaha Hadid Architects in London having gained experience on a number of high profile projects, ranging from urban scale to cultural institutions. He is currently teaching at the Institute of Architecture at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna Studio Greg Lynn.

MArch (Harvard) Trevor Patt

Trevor Patt is currently a PhD student in the Media × Design Lab at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne; his research and teaching there focus on computational design in urban systems. He received his Master of Architecture Degree from GSD Harvard University where he was awarded the Digital Design Prize. His work has been published in Skycar City and Architecture at the Edge of Everything Else.

arh. Irina Bogdan

Irina studied architecture and graduated from  the “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism – Bucharest, Romania [Dipl.Arch]. She took master courses at the Dessau Insitute of Architecture [DIA], Anhalt University of Applied Sciences – Dessau,Germany [Erasmus], having Prof. Christos Passas as studio supervisor. She tutored and organized a series of parametric design and digital fabrication workshops in collaboration with Bence Pap and Andrei Gheorghe[Questionable Traditions Workshop, Bucharest 2011], with the Dt.Arch.Lab Research Group [Ionut Anton and Dimitrie Stefanescu] and with the Hyperbody Research Group [TU Delft]. Currently she is collaborating with Tudor Cosmatu and Andrei Raducanu within the T_A_I Lab[Technology.Architecture.Innovation]. She has also worked in collaboration with AnotherArchitect Office [Berlin, Germany], being involved in the development of several projects ranging from product design to architecture and urban design.

Clemens Preisinger, PhD.

Clemens was born in Linz, Austria and is a civil engineer. After finishing his academic studies at the Technical University Vienna he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Structural Concrete at the TU Vienna. This four years term at the TU combined research activities and lecturing and resulted in a PhD-thesis with the title ‘Numerical and Experimental Investigations Regarding the Transformation of Flat Slabs to Double Curved Shells’. From 2006 to 2008 he worked as an engineer in a civil engineering office with its main focus on underground engineering and bridges. In 2008 he changed to Bollinger–Grohmann–Schneider an engineering office with its main activities in the field of structural design. From 2009 to 2010 he has been a project assistant at the University for Applied Arts and has contributed to a project with the title ‘Algorithmic Generation of Complex Space-frames’. Since 2010 he is developing the parametric, interactive finite element tool ‘Karamba’.

Moritz Heimrath Mag.arch.

lives and works in Vienna. The focus of his work and studies lies on the integrative development of geometry, structure and design.

He is currently teaching digital design at the architectural institute of the Georg-Simon-Ohm University, Nurnberg. He is leading the department for geometry and design at Bollinger-Grohmann-Schneider ZTGmbH, Vienna and has been working for Coop Himmelb(l)au, Vienna and Werner Sobek Engineers, Stuttgart.

Moritz Heimrath holds a magister degree in architecture from the University of Applied Arts, Vienna and also studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Stuttgart. He won a commendation at the Pininfarina-Award 2006 in Building Design and is participant at the MAK Schindler scholarship program, Los Angeles in 2012.
